We would like to introduce an exciting, new development – The Legacy Learning Center, “where shepherds will become kings and handmaidens become queens”. This 7,500-square-foot, three-story facility will be the main hub of activity for our campus. Part of the first floor will be the new home for our Sewing School, while the other part will be dedicated to training young men or women in carpentry, mechanics, and electrical repair.
The second floor will be the home of our brand-new School of the Harvesters – our missions and evangelistic training institute. This floor will also have a computer lab that we will use to teach computer skills and programs to students, orphans, and the community at large, so they may become more marketable. It will be a tremendous community development and outreach program.
Our third floor will be open air, making it ideal to use as a training area during the hot summer months. Here, we will host weekly English classes, entrepreneurial courses, and many other training programs. The floor will also serve as a break area and even guest quarters for students and visitors.
After reviewing architectural drawings and contractor bids, we know we can build it for $24 per square foot. We will begin construction in January.
